Mary Kate, MA, LMFT-Associate

Mary Kate, provides therapy to individuals (15+), couples, and families. Her specialties include life transitions, communication and relationship issues, eating disorders, body image concerns, and faith-based counseling. Mary Kate is passionate about helping clients navigate these challenges, offering support to those facing relationship struggles, including pre-engaged, engaged, and married couples. She creates a safe, authentic space for clients to explore issues related to their emotional health, body image, or faith exploration.

Mary Kate holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, along with a Certificate in Dispute Resolution, from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She works under the supervision of Erica Carpenter, Ph.D., LMFT-S, AAMFT Approved Supervisor (Texas License 202458), ensuring that her therapeutic practices are grounded in solid professional guidance. This background equips her with a strong understanding of family systems, conflict resolution, and the importance of effective communication in relationships.

Her approach to therapy is Person-Centered and Solution-Focused, meaning she tailors her methods to meet each client’s unique needs while focusing on practical, tangible solutions. Mary Kate believes that many of life’s struggles arise from the difficulty of adapting to change—whether it’s within the individual or within relationships—and therapy can provide the tools and perspectives to help manage these challenges. She works collaboratively with clients to identify goals and strategies for moving forward.

Mary Kate values diversity in her practice and strives to create an environment where every client feels heard and respected, regardless of their background or identity. Outside of therapy, she enjoys pilates, changing hairstyles, time with friends & family and walking her dog, Piper. Mary Kate offers counseling via telehealth, ensuring flexibility and access to her services for clients in need.
